The Great Transition: Reflections 2
The backstory on our departure deserves a moment of reflection. We originally planned (haha plans) to fly to Hilton Head Island, December 2nd. We had one way tix, a hotel at the Denver Airport Westin and true friends ❤️Heidi and Chris, ❤️ who offered to drive up from Denver and back to take us to the airport. We were all set! But on 11/24, the Sunday before departing, I woke up to the voice of my guides and intuition suggesting we drive, not fly. It would give us flexibility with departure and the benefit of having a car on Hilton Head. Not sure how this would go over with my task master partner, I presented the idea over morning coffee. In the midst of going back and forth we had this giant realization. We would be asking our friends to do something well beyond any friendship. The hell of driving up and back to Denver on the Sunday after Thanksgiving Holiday. Whose idea was that in the first place?! We quickly pivoted, canceled our original flying travel plans and decided to drive. While it went leaving sooner than expected with a thousand and one things to do, people to see and decisions to make, that’s what we did. So while we didn’t get to see Heidi and Chris before leaving, we’ve reserved a spot on the boat for them when we get to Door County, Wisconsin.
