The Great Transition: Reflections 1

November 29th we packed up the car and started our journey east to Hilton Head Island. South Carolina that is. Beaches, sunsets and warmer climes. In the lead up, we were presented with the gravitational pull of staying. It’s this crazy phenomenon that occurs when you leave to go on vacation, take a big trip or leap of faith. For example, on the morning of departure, I put way cleaning supplies under the kitchen sink and there was a puddle of water. Yup, the garbage disposal had mysteriously broken over night. Was this a sign from the Universe not to go? I decided to reframe this “sign” as an opportunity to show Universe my commitment to follow our dream. Dedication to the bigger dream kicked in and we persevered (again) with Doug fixing it amongst a thousand other things. Our 8:00am departure turned into 3:00pm. As we finished packing up car, I stood in a thoughtful moment of love and gratitude, thanked the house, the land, Breckenridge, friends, clients, community, my life of 20 years and we departed. Thank You 🙏
